Choose Petpooja when…

  • • You need inventory, stock and recipe-level costing.
  • • A large share of your orders arrives from Zomato and Swiggy and you want them in one billing screen.
  • • You want loyalty programmes, CRM campaigns or table reservations.
  • • You run a full-service restaurant with table-side captain ordering.
  • • You need Tally or SAP to reconcile automatically.

Fooduru does none of these, and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong thing.

Choose Fooduru when…

  • • You want to know the price before you talk to a salesperson.
  • • Your customers would rather read — or speak — ಕನ್ನಡ than English.
  • • You run counters, not tables, and you live or die by the token queue.
  • • You do not want to buy a POS terminal or a kiosk to get started.
  • • You want to be live this week, not after an implementation project.

The two differences that actually change your day

1. The Kannada is for your customer, not your cashier

Regional-language support in restaurant software usually means the billing screen your staff use. Fooduru puts Kannada on the menu the diner reads — every dish name carries its own Kannada text, and the whole menu switches with one tap. Add the voice add-on and a customer can order without reading anything at all.

Common questions

Is Fooduru a Petpooja alternative?
Fooduru is an alternative to Petpooja for a specific kind of restaurant: a small, counter-service Indian restaurant that mainly needs QR self-ordering, UPI payment, a kitchen screen and a token board. It is not a like-for-like replacement — Petpooja is a much larger platform with inventory, CRM, loyalty, reservations and aggregator integrations that Fooduru does not have. Fooduru costs ₹599 per month with the price published openly; Petpooja does not publish its rates.
Which is cheaper, Fooduru or Petpooja?
Fooduru costs ₹599 per month or ₹5,990 per year, published on our pricing page. Petpooja does not publish its pricing, so a like-for-like comparison is not possible from public information — you would need a quote from them for your outlet. What can be compared is transparency: our figure is on the website and theirs is not.
When is Petpooja the better choice?
When you need stock and inventory control, recipe-level costing, a loyalty programme, table reservations, or your orders come substantially through Zomato and Swiggy and you need them in one billing screen. Petpooja does all of that and Fooduru does none of it.
Does Petpooja support Kannada?
Petpooja offers regional-language support in its staff-facing billing software. Fooduru's Kannada is customer-facing: every dish carries its own Kannada name on the QR menu the diner reads, and the whole menu switches with one tap. These are different things, and which matters depends on whether it is your staff or your customers who prefer Kannada.
