For restaurant owners
Stop paying for expensive hardware — the kiosks, the touchscreen terminals, the counter displays that cost lakhs. Your staff take orders on the mobile phone or tablet they already carry, and your customers scan a QR code and order for themselves. Built for counter-service restaurants — food trucks, darshinis, cafés, office cafeterias and college canteens where customers order, pay and collect with a token. The base plan covers one kitchen or pickup point; multi-counter routing is a quoted add-on.
₹599/month equivalent, billed ₹1,797 quarterly, or ₹5,990 annually, for small restaurants. There is no monthly billing cycle. Prices exclude GST. Payment-provider charges, quoted add-ons and optional physical extras are separate.

The peak-hour problem
During the rush, one cashier can't take every order fast enough. The line builds, and customers who see it simply walk away — that's revenue turning around at your door.
At peak hour a single billing counter becomes the bottleneck. Orders pile up, the queue snakes back, and frustrated customers leave without ordering — fewer plates served in the same busy hour, straight off your profit.
Self-order kiosks cost lakhs in hardware and software — and the queue doesn't go away, it just moves. Now customers line up at the kiosk instead of the counter. The bottleneck shifts; it never disappears.
There's a faster way — and it's already in your customer's pocket. ↓
No kiosk · No new hardware
Self-ordering kiosks cost lakhs to buy, mount and maintain. Fooduru runs on the smartphone already in every customer's hand — so you launch tap-to-order today with zero new hardware, a seamless fit into how you already work, and GST billing built in.
No expensive self-order kiosks to buy, mount or maintain. Every customer already carries the screen — Fooduru runs on the phone in their pocket.
No POS machine to buy either. The smartphone or tablet your staff already carry runs Cashier Mode — walk-up orders go in on the device in their hand.
Print the QR, stand it on the counter — done. Nothing to install, wire or learn. It drops straight into how you already run your counter.
Every order produces a clean, GST-compliant bill — a soft copy for the customer and tidy totals for your books. No separate billing machine.
Free your counter
Customers order the second they sit down and get pinged when the food is ready — so they wait wherever they like instead of flooding your pickup point. Your counter stops being a bottleneck.
No standing in line to place an order. Scan the QR at the counter, then browse and pay on your own phone.
One tap, straight to the restaurant's own account. Order confirmed instantly.
Watch your token move live — Preparing → Ready — right on your phone.
Get notified the moment it's done. Wait anywhere you like — no crowding the pickup counter.
How it works
Photograph your existing menu card. Fooduru reads it and drafts a priced, multilingual menu in minutes — you just tweak and publish. No typing hundreds of items.
One QR for your restaurant. Customers scan, browse in English or their regional language, and pay by UPI — nothing to download, nothing to install.
Orders arrive on your kitchen screen; routing to separate counters is a quoted add-on. Claim, prepare, mark ready — and the public token board updates itself.
Cashier Mode
Not every customer wants to scan a QR, and plenty never will. Fooduru covers them too: your staff take that order right at the counter, on the phone or tablet you already have, using Cashier Mode in English or ಕನ್ನಡ. Tap the dish, take cash or UPI, print the bill and the kitchen ticket, hand over a token.
And it doesn't need the internet to keep working — Cashier Mode keeps billing offline for a full day and beyond, then syncs every order automatically the moment you're back online. Counter and QR orders share one kitchen screen and one day's total.

From happy restaurant owners
“We run a dessert food truck — an expensive POS terminal and display screens were never in the budget. With Fooduru, customers just scan the QR code on our counter and order straight from their phones, so there’s no hardware for us to buy, wire up or protect from the weather. And on nights our mobile network drops mid-rush, offline ordering keeps taking orders anyway — that alone has saved us from losing customers. Exactly the kind of setup a small food truck like ours needs.”

“During the rush hours, customers order by scanning the QR code placed at multiple places, which greatly reduced customers walking away — and our sales have improved dramatically.”

Everything a restaurant runs on
Not a generic POS bolted onto a restaurant — every feature is shaped around the way Indian restaurants actually serve.
Every dish carries its own Kannada name. One tap switches the whole menu — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi are on the way.
With the voice add-on, customers speak their order in ಕನ್ನಡ, English or हिंदी instead of scrolling. It only ever recognises dishes you actually sell.
Payments land in the restaurant's own UPI via Razorpay or Cashfree, confirmed by the bank webhook. Fooduru never holds your money.
Coffee, Tiffin and Juice each get their own screen, seeing only their own orders. An order can't be made twice — claiming is atomic.
Orders drop onto the kitchen screen. Claim → Preparing → Ready. No shouting across the counter, no lost chits.
A big-screen Preparing / Ready display customers actually watch — so nobody crowds your counter asking 'ready?'.
Coffee ready before the dosa? Mark each item ready on its own and the customer collects it as it comes, instead of waiting for the whole order.
Customers get a push notification the second you mark their order ready. They can wait anywhere instead of hovering at the counter.
Staff ring up walk-up orders on your own phone or tablet, in English or ಕನ್ನಡ — and it keeps selling, printing and issuing tokens with no internet at all.
Photograph your printed menu card and Fooduru drafts the whole priced, bilingual menu for you to check. No typing hundreds of items.
Print kitchen tickets and GST-ready customer bills to your USB or Bluetooth ESC/POS printer — no new hardware to buy.
Flag your hero dishes. They rise to the top with a shining gold badge customers can't miss.
Pause ordering instantly when you're slammed. It even auto-closes if your kitchen device drops offline.
Set two windows a day, so a tiffin room that shuts between lunch and dinner stops taking orders it can't cook.
Daily sales broken down per device, so you know which staff phone rang up what. Deeper item and counter analytics are an add-on.
Every order produces a clean, downloadable bill for the customer and tidy GST-ready totals for your books.
Kitchen devices are enrolled with your Authenticator app, staff phones carry roles, and owner accounts can require 2FA of their own.
A deeper analysis of your sales than the daily reports the plan already includes.
Your questions answered ahead of the standard queue, when a broken cash counter costs you a lunch rush.
Download a print-ready A4 flyer and counter standees carrying your restaurant name and menu link — laminated and delivered if you'd rather not print.
Why Fooduru
Aggregators rent you customers and take a cut. Fooduru hands you the tools and gets out of the way — the relationship and the revenue stay yours.
Darshinis, tiffin counters, food trucks, cafés and canteens where customers order, pay and collect with a token. The base plan covers one kitchen or pickup point; multi-counter routing is a quoted add-on. Table-service floor management and delivery-only cloud kitchens are outside this workflow.
Multilingual from day one, not a bolt-on. Kannada today, more Indian languages rolling out — your menu speaks your customers' language.
Your customers, your QR, your UPI. No middleman taking a cut of every plate you sell.
It's a web app — nothing to install for you or your customers. Start today on the device in your pocket.

FAQ
Fooduru costs ₹599 per month, or ₹5,990 per year for small restaurants — paying yearly makes 2 months free, a saving of ₹1,198. The shortest term sold is a quarter, at ₹1,797 for three months — there is no monthly billing cycle. There is one plan rather than a ladder of tiers. Voice ordering, Data Analysis, multi-counter routing and priority support are optional add-ons, quoted for your restaurant. Onboarding, menu digitisation, payment-gateway setup and pairing a compatible thermal printer you already own are free, and Fooduru takes no commission on your sales. Prices exclude GST. Payment-provider charges, quoted add-ons and optional physical extras are separate.
No. Fooduru is not an aggregator and charges no commission at any order volume. UPI payments go straight into your own payment-gateway account, and the backend only confirms an order after a signature-verified webhook from the payment provider — never a frontend “payment success” message alone.
The customer menu is available in English and ಕನ್ನಡ (Kannada) today, with more Indian languages planned. Every dish carries its own Kannada name and customers switch the whole menu with one tap. Voice ordering additionally understands हिंदी (Hindi).
Yes. With the voice add-on — quoted on how much you use it — a customer taps the microphone on the menu and says the order aloud in ಕನ್ನಡ, English or हिंदी. The transcript is matched only against that restaurant's real menu by a deterministic matcher with no language model involved, so a dish you do not sell can never reach the cart.
Most restaurants are live with a QR code, kitchen screen and token board within about 15 minutes. You photograph your existing printed menu and Fooduru drafts a priced, bilingual menu for you to check — there is no hardware to buy and nothing for staff or customers to install.
Yes, at the counter. Cashier Mode keeps taking walk-up orders, assigning tokens and printing bills and kitchen tickets with no network connection, then syncs everything once the connection returns. Customer QR self-ordering does need the customer to be online, as it does on any QR system.
Yes, with the multi-counter add-on. The plan covers a single counter or pickup point; routing items to separate stations — Coffee, Tiffin, Juice — so each station sees only its own orders is a paid add-on, quoted by how many counters you run. The customer still gets one token and one bill however many counters are involved. Item-wise pickup, where each dish is collected as it is marked ready, is included in the plan itself.
Yes — Fooduru is built and supported in Bengaluru, and Bangalore restaurants are most of who uses it. That shows up in the product rather than just the address: the customer menu switches to ಕನ್ನಡ with one tap with a real Kannada name stored against every dish, customers can speak their order in Kannada, and the whole workflow is designed around the counter-and-token model that darshinis, tiffin rooms and QSRs across the city run on. Onboarding is included free, so we digitise your printed menu, connect your UPI account and train your staff before your first paid term starts.
That is exactly what it is built for. A darshini or quick-service counter has no tables to assign, no waiters and no bill at the end of a meal — the customer pays at a counter, takes a token and waits for a number, which is the opposite of what most restaurant POS software assumes. Fooduru is built around counter billing, a public token board and a kitchen queue rather than a table map, and covers food trucks, cafés, juice and coffee counters on the same model. It does not do inventory, aggregator integration or table service, so a full-service restaurant is better served elsewhere.
No. Your customers order on their own phones, so there is no kiosk and no ordering device to buy. The kitchen screen and token board are web pages, so any tablet, laptop or spare Android phone runs them, and a TV with a browser shows the token board. A thermal printer you already own is paired free if it speaks ESC/POS, and you can take orders without a printer at all.
Fooduru has no inventory or stock management, no recipe costing, no Zomato or Swiggy integration, no table reservations or loyalty programme, no table-side captain ordering app, and no Tally or SAP integration. It is built for counter-service restaurants that need QR ordering, a kitchen screen, a token board and a cash counter. If you need those other modules, a larger platform will serve you better.
We'll set up your multilingual menu, QR code and kitchen screen for you at no charge, on the devices you already own. You just keep cooking.
