A lower headline price can still cost more once you add a commission on every sale, a per-terminal or per-device charge, or hardware the vendor expects you to buy. The three questions below are how to check before you decide on price alone.

Ask this before you switch anything
Open your current platform and look at which modules you actually used in the last month. Most restaurants that feel they are overpaying for a broad platform are using two or three of its parts — billing, a menu, and a report. If that is you, almost every focused tool on this list will be cheaper and simpler. If instead you find you leaned on inventory, aggregator sync and loyalty, then the platform is doing its job and the cost is the cost.
The second question is total cost, not headline price. A ₹300 plan with a per-order commission, a per-terminal charge or bundled hardware can land above a ₹599 plan with none of those. Ask every vendor on this list the same three questions: do you take a percentage of my sales, do you charge per billing device, and does the money reach my bank account directly.

- What is the best Petpooja alternative in India?
- There is no single answer, because Petpooja is a broad platform and most alternatives replace only part of it. If you need its full scope — billing, inventory, 80+ reports, CRM, loyalty, reservations and Swiggy/Zomato integration — the realistic alternatives are Restroworks or GOFRUGAL, both comparable in breadth. If you only ever used Petpooja for billing and a QR menu, focused tools do that for a fraction of what a full platform costs — Fooduru, for counter-service restaurants, at ₹599 a month with no hardware to buy, alongside other focused tools like OrderIt, DineOpen and Restrofi. The useful first question is which Petpooja modules you actually opened last month.
- Why do restaurants look for Petpooja alternatives?
- The reasons that recur across public review sites are pricing, customer support responsiveness, and wanting customisation the platform does not allow. A fourth, less often stated, is scope: a small counter-service outlet paying for inventory, CRM and reservation modules it never opens is buying a platform sized for a different business. None of these is a defect so much as a fit problem, which is why the honest comparison is by format rather than by feature count.
- Is Petpooja vs Fooduru a fair comparison?
- Only in one direction. Petpooja is a much larger product — 150,000+ outlets, with inventory, CRM, loyalty, reservations, kiosks, a website builder and aggregator, Tally and SAP integrations that Fooduru simply does not have. Fooduru is a focused QR-ordering, counter-billing and kitchen-queue system for small counter-service restaurants at ₹599 per month, with published pricing, a customer-facing Kannada menu and a fully offline cash counter. If you need what Petpooja does, Fooduru is not a replacement and we say so on our comparison page. If you never needed those modules, Fooduru costs less and does the narrow job better.
- How much does Petpooja cost?
- Petpooja does not publish its rates. As at 25/08/2026 its website lists Core, Growth and Scale tiers without figures and asks you to contact sales, so a like-for-like price comparison cannot be made from public information — you would need a quote for your own outlet. Several alternatives in this list do publish, which is at least a comparison you can make before booking a demo.
- When should I stay on Petpooja?
- When you use stock and inventory control or recipe-level costing; when a significant share of your orders arrives through Swiggy and Zomato and you want them in one billing screen; when you run loyalty campaigns, a CRM or table reservations; when you have table-side captain ordering; or when Tally or SAP has to reconcile automatically. Switching away from a platform you genuinely use the breadth of is how restaurants end up running three tools instead of one.
